You wouldn't need to simulate the entire universe in perfect detail - just the parts users are interacting with, and just to sufficient detail that they didn't notice anything amiss. This is exactly how we render games.

That would be completely logical. Predictions can be self-fulfilling, and he would have nothing to gain by placing his predictions for biological immortality out of his own reach.

That's why basic, necessary goods are not taxed, only luxury items. We have a GST in Australia and poor people effectively do not pay any tax on purchases.

Why is there a focus on people working at all? I thought one of the reasons UBI was so interesting is that people who are stupid, lazy, incompetent or just too obnoxious to work in customer service can stay at home and out of my way.
