This works at the more macro level too. Someone was talking about moving to SF from the Midwest and being amazed by all the fit, beautiful young professionals walking around. Yes, it’s true that driven, disciplined people are more likely to

I can’t help but wonder what it is about tech people that makes them so eager to expend their precious mental cycles reinventing the CRM wheel. Anything custom you could ever want to do in a CRM can be done on Salesforce’s platform with a f

If that were true, it sounds like an evolution accelerant. Jokes aside, evolution is not necessarily modern civilization, technology, and laws. Those are our creations, and psychedelics have been an active part of our arrival at them. Psych

The BBC documentary “Century of The Self” available on YouTube also highlights the ways in which everything happening at Esalen were leveraged to manufacture more consumerism. Great watch.

I’m the same way. Exercise and eating healthy just makes my body want even less sleep. When I’m firing on all cylinders, eating right and working out, I can get away with 5.5-6 and feel better than I ever do trying to push up past 7 by goin

Not everyone wants to risk their nest egg on a bootstrapped shot at success. Much better to give up 10%, keep getting a salary, and not lose everything if it fails. It’s about exporting risk.

I think it’s as simple as, VCs want to believe Founders care about the things they’re investing in heavily. The same way we would all like to think hiring is about qualifications and skills, but really it’s almost always more heavily about

Are you saying you act that way, or they treat you that way? People, for many reasons, automate other people in their minds. They define them, and aren’t willing to adapt their definition. They want the world to remain as they think it is,
