There's no clear line and there can never be because the world is too complex. We leave up determination to the court system. Google Books is considered fair use because they got sued and successfully used fair use as a defense. Until

But that problem is easy to fix with 0 disadvantages: Don’t do that. Don’t do it for the same reason that you have a convention of useful commit messages.

I wonder if you could screw with someone you don’t like by putting a big fat magnet on their meter. Ofc with the new prevalence of home cameras, that would be risky now.

I don’t know. I’m not saying it should be. I’m just saying Apple clearly built this modal to encourage everyone to press no.

This is no different from tampering with your utility meter before they were smart, though?

When you get prompted with a mandatory dialog that you must answer where one of the two choices offers no clear benefits, of course no one is going to pick that one. This is a meaningless statistic. That’s why phrasing questions and choice

I like the idea and motivations behind a lot of the changes a lot of the time but it’s basically never done well. It’s like… always mediocre. Like they added weather to the Win 10 taskbar recently and it’s something I’ve wanted before… but

For some of us, we kind of make up off hours as we go. If it’s 2pm and I’m bored and I have no meetings, I might just take 3 hours off and go to the park or gym, and if a coworker has a question during that time, I don’t mind answering it.

My sense of smell is just really weak. I can barely even detect the smell. I’ve never smelled a strong flower and I run a home garden. I’ve done wine tastings and what not as well and I can’t really tell apart anything. It’s funny because p

All internal services should be protected, even on your home network. If you have 100 devices on a network where everything is unprotected, that’s 100 different ways someone can try to get full access to 99 other devices.

SmartGit is pretty good. It's $70/yr though (but well worth it IMO) I'm the guy people go to fix Git screw ups at my jobs but I just click a few buttons or drag a few commits...

I think it was Orbi. It was table level. (Now my APs are near the ceiling though.) Wireless traffic is super dense here. A lot of people are running multiple APs and I guess we’re no better. Some people are also stacking multiple APs on the

No, it’s analogous to your car making this weird sound but it seems to largely work so you haven’t figured it out yet but you’re still driving people around.

No one’s saying the sound quality is comparable, which is what you’re arguing about. No, everyone is saying it doesn’t matter past a point. I own a XLR shotgun mic + 6 channel recorder and I save that stuff for filmmaking because my lower t

If your car breaks down, do you already know enough about cars to know where to start? If you get into legal trouble, do you already know a lot of law and procedure to know what to do? The only reason you have this attitude is because you’r

I think the fact that no one controls Bitcoin is actually a major downside. The Fed does a lot of work to keep USD stable (alongside being part of a a stable government). I trust the USD as long as I trust in the institution.
