If you’re expecting something near 500, then why would you set your limit to 500. Set it towards something like 20k at least. Or obviously if you don’t think this will be a problem, you have control to set it to uncapped. I don’t understand

I originally started off as an electrical engineer but these days I do backend and more frontend. I’m “full stack” if you will. I very much agree with you. Eventually most “new” knowledge feels like it’s just really a new “intersection” of

It’s probably a lot more than 3. As an EE, plenty of chips you can get are built-in computers. You’re not going to write code that you make your users run (what a support nightmare!). You build your chip and provide an API. And as a user, d

Based off IRC? Did you mean TeamSpeak/Ventrilo? Discord was a direct replacement for voice servers used in gaming communities. Not IRC.

That is not true at all. There are also poor workaholics. It’s the “hustle” and I know so many people, poor, in the middle, or doing quite well who like to talk about the hustle. People take pride being part of some kind of hustle. Not all

Maybe Zac is fully-aware. He just has different values, values I definitely don’t agree with, but it’s also his own opinion. I don’t see why anyone would expect Meta to be different. People’s core values don’t usually change over time.

But attackers are not dumb. They would circumvent whether loose checks the package manager may have. Just considering your suggestion, the obvious immediate exploit is to not deploy the attack payload right away. Nothing you will think of w

I have fortunately not yet had to work with a senior web developer who would struggle with such a basic question about how the web works. Now if I hired a firmware engineer, sure they might not know about GET vs POST.

The original artist doesn’t get any money if a physical version gets resold either. NFTs could theoretically actually allow artists to get a cut of any future sales because of its basis in smart contracts. Of course, NFTs can be used for mo

Looks like this publication is about hardware fingerprinting specifically Which you could argue is kind of obvious too I guess cause you can fingerprint anything from someone’s writing style to someone’s installed fonts

Remember that Docker does cache intermediary builds (each Dockerfile line being a build) so when you are developing, avoid editing any existing lines and then combine it back together when you get it working. Deployment of Docker is gross,

But collaborative editing predates Google Wave. The innovation that Google Wave presented was using a unstructured shared document for all communication. That idea is pretty dead right now, and given that that is Wave’s main innovation, I’d

Does no one remember Etherpad? It had collaborative editing and Google snatched them up. A year later they released Google Wave and Google Docs also got collaborative editing at some point. Even then, Etherpad was not the first collaborativ

But the metaverse itself is not content. Instead it’s another medium to consume content. Therefore the metaverse isn’t a replacement for a video games or TV. You would simply watch TV or play a video game while in the metaverse. The metaver

Perhaps we need more specialization but I remember the time before these kind of tools and I hated it. I’m a lazy person and I absolute love tools. Tools like Docker helped me never have to solve other people’s complex environment problems

I think it’s a cultural problem. Things are or are not a problem in certain places because that’s just how things have been done. You pick it up when you grow up in that culture. Which leads to the problem of determining what is actually ri

It’s not baffling at all to me. If I built my house 20 years ago, it would be up to date as of 20 years ago. Someone who builds their house today would have a house up to date as of today. I can update my house to be up to date now but it’s

I think it’s because some people grew up having to make time estimates and deciding whether to do something based on the estimate. If they were in the same boat, they might have not done it if they expected it to take a weekend.
