The thing is that we already have/had that. Data science is really just a blend of statistics, machine learning, data engineering, and software development. I think the data science explosion is the result of more people/companies

I think the issue lies in the fact that data science is a massive umbrella term which really covers multiple large fields, namely statistics and computer science, both of which by themselves are massive. Its very difficult if not impossible

Entirely depends. "Moving the numbers significantly" doesn't mean much if the numbers aren't moving in the correct direction. Errors and scarcity in data are real, significant problems. I'm a statistician working in

I find it hard to believe that the reason it was dropped was due to criticism of banks and allegations of government corruption, given there is copious amounts of other films with the same subjects available, including on Netflix.

I think Americans are probably among the first to admit the issues with their communities, hence the increased trend in helicopter parenting.

I don't understand what you think is wrong with the kid awaiting instruction. Sounds like a kid who has some sense of self-control, which is a positive and not a negative.

Again, its hard to separate that phenomenon from potentially confounding effects. Is the fact that children are typically hurt by people they know the result of parents being reluctant to let their kids out on the street by themselves, ther

Took me a while to get back to you, but essentially dplyr is fantastic for readability and reproducibility. Reading through someone else's analysis, or even my own long after the fact, is orders of magnitude easier than base R, data.ta

Thats not really true though. The vast majority of t-tests are done using a sample average as a test statistic, and by the CLT, as the sample size goes up, the distribution of a sample average becomes approximately normal. So unless you hav

getwd() returns the working directory, which can be set with setwd(), even from within RStudio. I'm still not sure what the problem is.

Actually for data massaging and manipulation, R is absolutely superior to Python.

pandas is absolutely terrible compared to the dplyr, data.table, or even base R for data manipulation. And while you would have been right about Python being better for machine learning a couple of years ago, these days basically every popu

I don't know why you think its a marketing lie. I think R is hands down the best language for data analysis, and nothing else really comes close.

And Western Pennsylvania is closer to Chicago than to NYC. Eastern Penn cities like Philly are definitely considered part of the East Coast, culturally, but western Penn such as Pittsburgh is definitely part of the Midwest.

They aren't supposed to be. But for now that's how they are being treated by the userbase. There is definitely a huge gap between the original intent of these cryptocurrencies and how 95% of people are using them.

You seem to be the one that is confused. A belief that human evolution occurred with no divine participation is not a foundational part of modern science. Neither 'God designing humans' nor 'God guiding evolution' are su

Yeah if the book is too lengthy, the author also authored a series of articles for Wired (I believe) a couple years back that are pretty in depth and a great read and serve as the basis for the book. I highly recommend them.

The dimension of the input and output arrays needn't be different, right? There's no reason you can't input a image into a convolutional neural network and output an altered image of the same size.
