I like the $3 pricing. I'm more inclined to try it now. But the price jump to $39 is a little dramatic. Maybe $19 instead? Also, it looks and reads as a little too corporate. Add a dash of mailchimp-esque cuteness in there to lighten it up.

Flickr is now so in-your-face and slow loading, I can't stand being on the site. And this is from a guy who would spend an hour on the site looking for the perfect image. Not any more.

Ycombinator startups are examples of contrarian thinking? Not really, although I've grown to admire some of them. The article reads more like a suckup-atorial.

Okay, so I'm not alone on this. Trying to wring every last penny out of your customer with inflated prices just so you can brag about it on guest blog posts isn't cool. For those who do want to maxprice your product and jack your customers,

The article is a lead-in to an app that helps you create personas. I personally believe in the effectiveness of personas, but they can take a lot of time to do right, which is why I think there is a market for this type of SaaS.

If you work really hard on making a quality podcast that gives value to a target audience, I promise you you'll never have to ask for sponsorship. People will knock on your door, money in fist. At that point, you may even choose not to beca

I think your comment is appalling. How the hell would you know he is living beyond his means? Maybe there are perfectly legitimate reasons he can't take on extra work. Maybe he is dealing with illness and medical expenses or God knows

$1.1 Billion is a really good deal for a trashcan full of 99% animated cat GIFs and 1% decent content. Have you read Yahoo news lately? It's dumbed-down sensationalistic garbage that makes Tumblr look absolutely brilliant in comparison.

Yahoo stinks of uncool while Tumblr is hip, addictive and growing fast. Never the twain shall meet.

The greatest achievements in the world have come from a gathering of bright and passionate people, discussing and vetting their ideas together. Nonsense. Any equal number of "greatest" achievements have come from a individuals working per

Interesting problem to solve. It certainly exists. Look at the life/business/sales coaching industry. There are almost as many chiefs as there are Indians. I think it comes down to "buyer beware" and a little common sense. If someone is goi

Stop relying on Google for everything. Stop building things on Google. No company should have such a big impact on your life and society as a whole. Several months ago I moved everything to the Microsoft ecosystem. In some ways its trading

Microsoft is already doing this with XBox Pass (I'm a subscriber) and its a great value unless you're a hater of music. Its cool because you can experiment all you want with new music and not run up huge bills. Its okay to get into music ag

As a Canadian, we see the same sort of hypocrisy regarding our natural resources, especially our wildlife. Provincial travel advertisments show sprawling forests, but what's really happening at a frightening rate is their destruction becaus

I'm wondering if there are easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on setting it up on my own PC. Can Joe Sixpack set this up without too much grief? I'd like to use this for my own projects, but I'm way out of practice doing this stuff.

I read Frankenstein recently and its pretty intense. Recommended. Probably the most exhilarating read for me in a long while has been "The Secret Race" by Tyler Hamiliton. But don't take my word on it, read the reviews.

I'm probably your target market, and could put recandy to good use, but not at $39 /mnth. The price scares me right off. I'd subscribe at 5 /mnth or less though. Also, invest in a copywriter. In fact, I am a copywriter. If you want to look

The truth about Reddit is that it's a clone of Digg, and Digg was a clone of Slashdot. Hacker News is a clone of Slashdot too. Just giving credit where credit is due.
