If the site operator is working for the FSB, doxx away! Although the world needs a better alternative to Internet Archive, it shouldn't be an alternative that is an arm of an authoritarian government.

That's not particularly enlightening, to be frank. People always ask here why the community flags every post on these issues. Comments like this are why. Hardly anyone on this site knows even basic information on the nations involved.

The mullahs and IRGC are not famous for their compassion or kind-heartedness. They are infamous for fulminating against liberals, plotting to kill enemies, torturing and hanging dissidents from cranes, persecuting minorities and women, fund

HN really should cut people who actually live the Middle East a little slack when it comes to comments about the Middle East. They seem to be the first to be downvoted off the site. It's turning into my pet peeve: https://ne

'Okay' with taking down the mullahs and IRGC is an understatement. If the Americans or Israelis were sending a squadron of John Wayne Gacy clones to murder children, I would be against that. I would be disgusted with people who op

This is absurdly pedantic, but the fact that the Twilight Zone episode relies on a pun makes the two phrases somewhat different. They would be alike if the book title had been "If Mankind isn't at the Table, Mankind is on the Men

Yesterday I posted the following link to an interview with David Woo (he's a finance guy). It's on this topic, and quite good: David Woo: The Market Is Wrong About Iran, Oil and What Comes Next https://youtube.com

This Woo interview is interesting, not so much because of finance, but because of the thought he has put into understanding Iran and the US administration.

I had a new respect for him as a designer because he was able to articulate a rationale for his decision. That would be more encouraging if Apple under Tim Cook didn't suffer from bad UX that sounds good when put into words .

I should have checked the etymology, but the way this reply is worded is a bit nitpicky. English did not loan 'fest' directly from Latin. Edit: Though I realise now I misunderstood the original comment re: 'i val'. I too
