Finally! It took so long to build a decent battery to match the current hardware, I hope it will be worth the wait.

nice, thanks. I think the most important step we are still missing are: 1) the reverse drive, so say that some edit is spreading, you must have a way to stop it eventually; 2) telomere-elongating or other DNA repairing goodies (maybe copyin

From a juridical point of view that was really nice of them. It's a step toward Latin Law, where each man is entitled to understand what he is signing (opposed to the Anglo-saxon where you assume anything can get signed, therefore you

Well, I will tell one relevant problem that can be annihilated with this: ads placement. Google advertisement adwords is all based on a auction mechanism at the end of which you have to find the best allocation of ads to bidders (to slots)

I notice two things: 1) why shouldn't Apple collect the very same data? 2) apparently users are willing to pay for privacy, that's pretty cool! Something like vysk will actually have some space.

Very cool, thanks for doing/sharing. I am curious why he says "non linear SVM are the most accurate but can't scale". I've used the good old C svmlight on pretty large datasets, it was not real time but..

Hm, what is really interesting would be to understand how this can impact a shared machine, say an EC2. Is there any more reasearch on this?

In Deloitte there are now "orange profiles" which are only technical and are earning more than functional figures. It is true though that at the best of my knowledge no "orange profile" has made it yet to a Board.

Robotics with capital R comes with mechanics, algebra and control theory, my flatmate was building robots. They are super expensive though. I think an arrival point to go to "career" could be to stabilize a body standing still on
