Wonderfurl! It makes the kid see how a small algorithm saves time AND produces almost the same results as hand drawn animation. I have to try this myself with my own kids.

I’ll keep cycling to work in the foreseeable future. I don’t think this post is of much use to anyone, but I had fun reflecting my last year of cycling to work. Thanks for reading. Good read. Modest author. Often it is the most personal b

HN has given me hopes and dreams about 10 years. I have not yet created any unicorn company. But I have quit my job and started doing software development as a freelancer.

Good read! This article is specially interesting for "dinosaurs" who have been coding html and css since the 1990's. It has been complicated to implement layout on web pages. Slowly it is getting better though.

Great site! When searching for a currency, the currency is highlighted and zoomed in. When zooming out, it's hard to see where in the landscape that currency was. Maybe let the currency keep it's color?

I really like some of the hardware from Lenovo, Microsoft and HP. As a developer I find the Windows 10 operating systems QDOS legacy to be annoying to, say the least.

Hyperscript markup looks like a nice replacement for JSX. The source for hyperscript-react is 50 lines of code, including comments and empty lines, so it's fairly easy to learn: https://github.com/mlmorg/react-hype

Have you tried making an alias for react with the library preact-compat in webpack config? It should make a lot of react libraries work seamlessly with preact too.

So good to see libraries made to be compatible with both React, Preact and Inferno. Unless Facebook changes it's React open source license, this will probably become standard for most of the libraries made for React.

The price of land is much lower if the entrepreneur goes big and build a whole new town from scratch. There are however some challenges with this approach. None the less, it's being done all the time in Asia.

Agree. Besides that most reducers only merges in variables from an action to the global state. I guess this could be done much simpler. Example: https://github.com/chvin/react-tetris/blob/master/src/
