I would say it is. I don't think you can talk the concept of the data driven world without looking at how Gibson and later cyber-punk authors imagined how it might be. We may think that the word "cyberspace" is a bit twee now, but it was an

Ahh, is that why it went away for a few years. Back about 2008-2009 it seemed I got hit with a VbV screen for 90% of purchases. Then, it just seemed to 'go away' In the past 3 or 4 months, I've started seeing VbV screens again though. So p

I've heard both the Firefox and Ubuntu mobile OSs described as developer phones (I believe this was on Click (BBC)). It made a bit of sense. If you're the type to immediately root your android phone and start running custom builds, then the

completely my own observation here, but... Bitbucket may see an increase in user awareness due to the MOOCs. Reason being, if you're taking a programming related course, it's good to put your code in vc and online vc's let you easily switch

what I find funny about this is that the reason I don't like most red wine and most regular tea is because I can taste the tannins. I would find it sadly ironic if someone like me could pass the red vs white test simply because our taste bu

re white vs red. In the experiments with white vs red I've heard of, the tasters described the tinted wine with adjectives generally used with red wines. It's all very subjective. Do they use "red wine" adjectives because the wine looks red

the 48 hour week is an average over a 17 week period. Even if you do opt-out, the next thing an employer comes up against is the minimum wage. You can't be working so many hours that your effective hourly wage is below the legal minimum. h

I don't think people should be encouraged to break immigration law. People would say similar things to me: "such and such group does it and they never get deported, why don't you?" not realising that what they're advising me to do is risk m

The flaw is that the OP doesn't count the actual time involved. Thinking that working 7-7 means you're home and having a family life for the rest of the time is incorrect. Working 7am - 7pm translates more to 5am - 8pm. Just like working 9

7-7 so, say 5am - 8pm with the commute and the morning thrown in. That's no family life. If you're checking into work over the weekend, you may think it's an hour or two, but it'll be 5 or 6 hours, you just don't realize it. So out of the w

though VAT makes up for some of the difference, it doesn't make up for nearly 1:1 USD:GBP pricing. If they can charge it, they will. That assumes all companies charging an extra percentage are actually paying their VAT bills as well.
