No, you don't need $20 programmers. I played with attiny85 microcontrollers in my pet projects. A $2 Arduino Nano is all it takes to program the chip.

Choosing an item from a list is not the right way to use autocomplete. IMHO, autocomplete is a good way to make sure you don't have typos. I never choose from a list. I always type enough letters to make sure the current one is the one

too many libraries don't work with pypy. The last time I checked, psycopg2 doesn't work. Completely a deal breaker for me.

Thanks, but I will stick with postgresql + redis. It's scary to know that the database vendor might change the license to force you to either pay them or open source everything you write.

I personally use this rule to decide whether I should use a Google service/library: it has to have more than 1 billion active users or it's an important part of such services. gRpc more specifically protobuf, imo, is very importan

No. In reality, it's incredibly hard to migrate any database to another database. Even if you have high test coverage, there can be some corner cases bite you later. Hack, simply a version upgrade can have all kinds of problems.
