You really have countless options these days. DAP / digital audio players experience a kind of renaissance, particularly among audiophile users. I'd recommend to look at options by Sony, Fiio, Astell & Kern, Onkyo, Cowon, iBas

To be fair, Nokia's Windows Phones used plastic which felt rather valuable and high quality. It was an excellent finish that doesn't feel out of a place in a premium device at all.

And I thought I was just imagining things. Then again I always had the feeling that the color profile slightly adjusted after major iOS releases. It always felt slightly off for a short time.

Apple started supporting FLAC in recent macOS and iOS versions, but just on the OS-/file system-level. I think that indicates that a future iTunes revamp will come with FLAC support, at which point the iOS Music app will have to suppor

I disagree. The publishers line of thought is absurd. How can anyone reason that publishers should be paid for the major share of visitors Google forwards to their content? Of course publishers have every right to de-index their content fro

Sure, but an iPhone is still required to set the device up. The watch needs to be paired to an iPhone. While you can use it without the phone after the initial pairing it's still not intended as a stand-alone device for longer periods

It's my understanding that the DRM and phoning home is completely optional and up to the developer. Steam is happy to deliver your games DRM-free and without any dependency on their client if the developer/publsiher chooses to do

Equality really wasn’t what the german publishers had in mind. They wanted Google to pay for being able to show a snippet of their content in News. A ridiculous idea, that was countered by the only sensible answer: Google asked publishers i

I think this is a task that is handled by an optional CMS, not the static site generator itself, though I agree it would be handy to have a little helper snippet to do that during build. There are CMS solutions for static sites which will p

I think this is a major part of the problem. Kids need their freedom, out of parents' sight. I was thinking about my youth the other day. Back then (around 2005) in Germany we had youth clubs ("Jugendclubs"). A shared space w

I‘m pretty sure this is wrong. If the van can‘t make the turn safely before the cyclist arrives/collides he has to let him pass. The question of who arrives first at an intersection is irrelevant in europe.
