While I also question the necessity of having every single moment documented and framed, I don't think you or anyone else has the authority to decide what's worth capturing and what isn't.

You can. I've been using Arq [1] for years. You can select a storage provider of your choice (I use Dropbox), but Arq also provide its own cloud storage these days if you prefer to keep it as simple as possible. After the initial uploa

Doesn't that render the fake images even more silly? Smartphone cameras are pretty good these days - I don't see the need to fake the results.

If you enjoyed the slower pace I'd recommend Kingdome Come: Deliverance [1]. It doesn't have the same level of polish or the production values of a Rockstar game, but really surprised me with it's realistic, historic, non-mag

The alternatives are everywhere - you just have to let go of the idea of replacing Amazon with another single, giant everything-store. It will be multiple stores. I recently noticed that all my hobbies and/or niche interests are better

As it should be. eBay and Amazon serve, or should serve, two very different purposes. In my opinion used items have no place on Amazon and the whole marketplace approach results in a sketchy shopping experience I'd like to avoid.

Sure, it does offer scaling, but you really want 2x scaling - I tried non-integer values on a 5k display, just to get a sense for it, and it was as disappointing as expected. Slightly blurry text, rather obvious that this wasn‘t the recomme

It's better than 1080p as it is much sharper and crisper, but 1080p at 27 inches results in rather large UI elements. An effective resolution of 2560x1440px (as seen in any iMac 27) seems like the proper resolution for a display of tha
