"And isn't aggregating all these witness accounts what reporters actually do?" Only if you completely trivialize what reporters actually do. The good reporters will give you the story behind the witness accounts, with well-crafted, spell-c

Does anyone know when this archive was released? The copyright at the bottom of the index page says 2010 so can we assume this is a recent, awesome event? BTW: I Googled for some PR for this but didn't find any (at least, on the first page

Why is this version more useable than the already available versions? I prefer the text version myself. I can use it in more places than this HTML version.

Have you considered selling this as an assessment tool? You'd probably have to drop the Kung-fu theme but that doesn't mean it would have to be boring either. I think a scored and timed test would be really useful to HR departments at large

Why are software developers segmented between "rock stars" and "not rock stars"? A salary estimate search on Simply Hired for "rockstar accountant" yielded no results :-)

Yes. 300 words exactly. No tricks or gimmicks involved. Sadly, I don't have any examples. It was a loooong time ago. I think the 300-word cap was to force you to choose every word carefully.

I am a counterexample. I learned how to write in college during my freshman year. My professor capped all essays at 300 words which, at first blush, seems like a cakewalk. I found it much harder to get a point across in 300 words than al

I put discussion/aggregator sites like HN in a different class than news sites. We come here to talk about things we see elsewhere. It's not very important who we are in Real Life. I think anonymity can improve the discussions. Mr. Van D

I look at privacy as a zero-sum game. Under your scheme, I can elect to comment pseudo-anonymously but , I'm not really anonymous. I've given my anonymity to HN (and the OP indirectly). If I give something away I want to feel equally comp

I was on a sales call once when my neighbor's kid burst into my house and started shouting in Bengali. I managed to hit the phone's mute button while furiously gesturing at him to be quiet. Because I don't speak Bengali, I had no idea what
