Lots of people use the same set of tools for all their projects, so the application doesn't really help allocate to projects or clients. Instead of going off the active app, doesn't it make more sense to categorize based on the op

Nice work! (and hi, long time no see.) Feature request: if changing a setting added a parameter to the URL (?count=XX&speed=YY), one could save a link to a config one likes and store it as a bookmark.

Bing's version of ChatGPT/GPT4 cites sources. My limited unterstanding is that it uses your question to do a web search, brings the results into the context window, and then generates an answer that cites sources. OpenAI could int

Pricing is going to depend a lot on the dynamics of the local market and the number of cars each company has available. (Article mentions that rental companies will truck cars between markets and that anticipating demand is key to being pro

I ran into this. Desk staff said they had initially provided travel chargers but that so many got stolen that they stopped. Seems to me that this could have been fixed by making them optional and requiring a deposit, but when you read in th

As far as I saw, they required cars to come back 70% charged, or to the same level the car had when it went out.

Are there cases yet that will take an SD card and provide a pass-through USB-C plug? (Much like the battery hump cases?) Didn’t find it on a superficial search.

A tip about offline Google Maps: When your phone can “hear” a cell tower (and thus thinks it’s online) but doesn’t have enough signal to get any data, apps like Google Maps and Gaia will often hang instead of showing you the downloaded map

To make it work, for each page I visit the plug-in will make a request to your server to load comments. That means you're getting a full record of where I go on the web. Huge privacy issue. Chances of me installing such a plug-in: 0.00

They're going to snatch your phone, break it up into parts, and install those into other people's phones, and those people will happily approve the new part.

I was thinking about the price because $800-1200 seems like a lot for a "phone", but you're really getting something that's awful close to a Macbook in power and display quality, but with a great camera and many times mo

For one reason, because the data lives on forever, and these companies merge or go out of business eventually, at which point the data ends up in the hands of someone else. Data is also shared with data brokers (Acxiom and the like) which c

Do the Tesla range estimates not adapt to recent driving? I drive a Chevy Volt, and it "learns" from recent drives and will estimate range partly based on that, so it'll adapt to weather effects and to highway vs city driving

Any attempt to be mindful is probably better than no attempt, but I'd say, Yes, there are better and worse ways. One that took me some time to learn is to not put effort or striving into the activity. Especially with that most common f

But on many city streets a very large percentage of heavy vehicles are... public buses. Not sure it makes sense to shift the cost for road repair to the public transit agency.

It sounds like you're not considering a Tesla. Seems to me Tesla tech has been pretty stable for a while. They're changing battery tech, but it's not a radical thing, so not going to change the value of the existing cars much
