Because MOND doesn't actually explain anything, it's basically just fine tuning equations to make them fit with observations. Dark matter is the opposite, it takes all the observations and induces a fitting explanation

Ok but I’ve used VSCode for almost 10 years, got mad at this once, and disabled it instantly. This sucks, but maybe don’t overreact?

Not sure about the US but in France there’s absolutely no way this would be confused with Apple Thunderbolt. No one talks about it, and I don’t even know it it’s even a thing anymore since USB-C. As for Thunderbird, it’s not the same name?

Standard is better than better. For all of its flaws, I’ll take Git any day over any (better) alternative, because the value is in the absence of fragmentation. If a repo doesn’t use Git, I’m out.

Curious to know how many HNers still support Trump. They’ll probably say they never supported him, but they were pretty numerous (or at least more than you would expect on HN) saying he wasn’t all that bad (who cares about human rights when

It’s not so much the black box that’s the issue here, but the fact you can’t even make sure doesn’t change. I’d be fine with downloading the black box and running it on my servers until I decide to update it.

So some people say it feels slower, there's been some incidents recently, you're missing a few features and Zig moved out, that's it? Wow, ruined, completely unusable, I have no idea how I've been working 8 hours a day u

It really is… I’ve worked with Gitlab for years and moving to GitHub was like a breath of fresh air, everything is much less cluttered. Not saying it’s perfect, but GitHub just feels simpler

Not sure I under the Zed argument, VSCode has supported milti-cursors since the very beginning. It was made popular (not invented) by Sublime Text because it made it reaaaally easy (middle click+drag), so Atom and VSCode carried the feature

My solution for this is just use the current latest, or latest-1. There’s no reason not to. If your code is somehow stuck with an old version of Go, it should be considered a high priority bug, this is not normal.
