I'm almost ashamed of how excited I was while reading this. Default layouts of keyboards are incredibly ineffective for programming, and I find customization of layouts to be very important. The best thing I ever did was adopting something

I never understood this. Why would market share of Linux on the desktop matter? I've always viewed Linux on the desktop as something for power users and developers, and thousands of said power users and developers are continually developing

https://github.com/trapd00r/neverland-vim-theme I have used this for the past year. I've tried Solarized, Github and many others on the list, but I always return to neverland. It's very dark and with high contrast, but it's also the only

Ah, I see. I think it's an interesting problem, indeed. I've been blessed enough to only have a few machines (<10) under my current care, and I've used the github variant mentioned above on all of them. How many plugins are you using? M

This is avoidable if you use Ctrl-C instead of escape. It works identical to [esc] in all ways except one (the InsertLeave autocommand will not be triggered). If you remap Caps lock to Ctrl, you even get a more ergonomic way of escape, sinc

As a big fan of vim and the hjkl paradigm, I've tried many of the plugins that try to make other software more vim-like. While I can fully understand the feelings of haldean, I've never felt it myself. I'm pretty sure this is due to my expe

Thank you! I am using Arch Linux with i3 (default config except for some keybindings) and running rxvt-unicode with tmux sessions. The top bar is a dzen2 dock with a custom script feeding it information. There is no real theme involved, but

I have been using Inconsolata since about a year ago. I was an avid user of tiny pixel fonts, but I felt an increasing amount of strain on my eyes. This worried me since I'm only 23, so I went out to look for bigger fonts. Pixel fonts look

Thanks a lot for the Hammock link. I'm watching it right now and it is already very inspiring!
