You missed the part where FB -- admit to and are fixing -- lack any process to deal with those that are either not aware or don't understand the process. At no point do they instruct the reporter that it'd be helpful to provide mo

Your point was to elicit ridicule of Google and Google+. If your point was to instruct authors to share their content by any means and on all platforms, then you should have made that point.

Rubbish. Make good content, and make sure to share it to everyone that will find it good -- those following you on social networks.

At first I thought, pj is using the "NSA" scapegoat as a copout. Email is the reason??? Use GPG! But then I remember how difficult it is to get even my most technical friends to care about secure communications. GPG is a two-way s

This is absolutely the right response; I think it's not a stretch that a security report might be provided by a "newcomer" or potentially even a complete layman.

I read it, but I don't assume to know the reporter knows how we do things, especially in light of security. The FB responses were absolutely dismissive, and I hope they have learned to, at least, setup some boilerplate responses. Perha

Kutcher is being paid by another company to support his Steve Jobs film. It's personal for him, but it's also business. We have to keep that in mind.

It goes deeper than that. You are suggesting that intellectual, free thinking and Google can't coexist, or to work AT or WITH Google is to be not intellectual nor free thinking. It's ludicrous to label Google employees and users.

FUD. What proof are you referring to that Google is "directly, deeply, and intricately involved in said scandal?" Should the industry drop C++ (Microsoft) and Java (Oracle) support or similar (Scala, Python, etc)? AMD and Intel pr

I am sorry to have used your post as an example, but it's just ludicrous to expect everyone to know the rules. You keep deriding the reporter as lazy or lacking of simple things! His hack was lame; no one was hurt. Not even Facebook; n

Don't pay the bounty for the bug then. Pay it for identifying the weak links in the security-reporting chain. The links that shrugged the bug reporter off, from the start; didn't have, at the very least, some boilerplate to guide

I'm trying to think of someone, other than Netflix, that has weathered cloud outages, and even THEY frequently have to deal with the weight of supporting a cloud topology. How many times has AWS's provisioning fabric gone out?
