I had a funny yet tragic experience about LLM last week A CICD flow had broken. It was not giving the URL of a deployed service. A team member used AI to fix it without reading the code and AI added 55 lines of code When I noticed the issue

The counter argument is that since LLM resembles magic why use inefficient nodejs that is basically an app running inside chrone Why not use native binaries? Is efficiency not important in 2026?

Absolutely! LLM is basically magic at this point (or so we hear)

Oh wait. Is it? I am just tired of JavaScript being used for desktop apps! Can't someone create a framework using LLM that doesn't use JS? But the zed team did create a cross platform library did not they?

I was being sarcastic but okay. Because every other day we hear how excellent LLM is that we don't need to write code anymore

Pray tell me why a desktop app is running on a browser in the age of LLMs? Electron was written to make dev times faster But since LLMs are basically super engineers can't the app be written in native language rather than running on v8

I didn't know you can't post emojis! I also exploded laughing reading your comment I expect people to not understand sarcasm on Reddit. I suppose I shouldn't expect it on HN as well

But won't it take a lot of time and resources to make it non legacy? Sometimes we don't get the luxury or option to work on stuff like this

Well they can win! Since everyone is so pro LLM don't write apps in Nodejs LOL Pre LLM nodejs was convenient option to deploy to all platforms at once. Post LLM that's no longer a limitation! Just prompt more to create apps in nat

Also why is it a nodejs app? With the explosion of LLM and the insane increase in productivity shouldn't it be a Rust app?

People loke you're the minority. Most people use the brilliant strategy if "prompt and pray" Because of AI speed is valued over everything else

I was in school back then, lived in a town near Mumbai and watched it on TV The media was so stupid that it literally showed commando positions. Literal position second by second. The govt then later banned this information, staggering it t

Why will they fall behind competition when any feature is just an English prompt away? Unless they're lying that is!

Yep and they still don't do it! So we should do as they do, not as they say

Yep they can just prompt Fable or Mythos! Here is the prompt they can use: Claude, migrate Claude Code into Rust. Make no mistakes!

> business logic is more digestible in its current form. Well, Anthropic spent many $ teling everyone that code is dead so this doesn't matter to them does it? Their business logic can be written in English!

Yeah and it's still a cli tool running on JS So it's not a brag They could just write in Rust directly can't they? If they do that then they're doing what they preach

Yes and this can be proven because what Anthropic says and does is vastly different They say SaaS is dead and you can vibe code any SaaS using Opus and yet despite having Mythos with them they have to use JS terminal to run Claude Code. Why

that's the hypocrisy I was pointing out. Lol For their work they extensively test using humans with deep expertise But while marketing they say just vibe code bruh And here they can't even rewrite CC in rust? Why not! Use 1000000

Why is ecosystem of tools and plugins a bottle neck when they literally own Claude models and as per their boss, code is so cheap that anything us just an English sentence away?

Weekend is too long bro! With AI they can weite 50 implementations in a single prompt. They clearly are using tooo many humans and that's why they're lagging More AI will 100% fix the issue lol
