You don’t save 100% of what you earn. 50% is considered very good, but in consumer focused America some people might save only 10% of their income (thus for a 100K income to save 30K represents 3 years of savings obliterated).

Great write-up, I had no idea that China was using machine learning to detect VPN setups... I'd suggest the author make their Idea #4 random-padding code open source, but ironically if it became popular then surely the ML-based filters
