Being Egotistical shouldn't be conflated with being an Egotistical Asshole. Ego if used in the right way can be a powerful force for the better. America's moonshot was a collective ego of an entire nation that led them to achieve

Sure, just to play the devil's advocate here (I support for giving feedback in constructive manner when possible ), sometimes giving a feedback in a constructive manner is simply inefficient and some manager may not have time to do it

Interesting. I want to make a point that questions the premise of the article. What is wrong if people dont have a quiet ego? What is wrong with the fact that humility is mentioned 43% less. Why is that automatically bad( I am not saying i

Can you solve all the problems in ext4 that NTFS claims to solve? No you cant. I am not saying either of the systems is perfect nor either of them is horrible. They are perfect for the use cases they are designed for. If somebody had a file

India has 7, 1 less than Europe, that is very interesting from many accounts. GDP of Europe ~20 Trillion $. GDP of India is 2 Trillion $ - I wish there were more studies like this, but not just at the billion $ evaluation, but say 100 milli

I am a software engineer, I have a grad school degree in CS with many years of experience in the industry. One thing I often noticed was many people break some key computer science concepts while on the goal to achieve some minor usability

I want to bring an alternate viewpoint into the discussion. For some a product like Leeo may sound superfluous and may not seem to justify the added value it provides for the rise in cost(99$+). (Note there is some added value however trivi

Also, there is another point I want to make, lot of readers assume that they can only play it once. I dont think that is a constraint at all. If that is a constraint, problem is simplified. If you were to play only once you have less than 1

If you were paying 50$ to play this game, you would have to play around 2^50 (each time paying 50$) times to even break even! I think the article is a good illustration of how expected value can't be really used as the only parameter.

I love mailinator! However tricking site scrappers may not work perfectly if the site scrappers maintained a list of websites in their "whitelist". Say if I am scrapping mailinator.com for domain names, if I see gmail.com or yahoo

One common counter argument that people make is that users are lazy when you say they don't want to learn something new(lets ignore the physically challenged for now). But that argument is so fallacious I think. What users actually mea
