I contacted the jPlayer folks recently for them to do a PAID project, since on their site they say they do custom work. Needless to say... they never contacted me back.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your comment but... Real businesses need real solutions for their use cases. SQL is not necessarily the right tool for "that" job.

It's absolutely not that simple. Try telling a country like Japan (who projects a 30% decrease in population by 2060) couples can only have 1 child.

Neat. One thing I noticed though... my karma isn't correct even though it states it was last updated today. I haven't commented in almost a week prior to this comment.

At lot of gas stations in my area offer gas cheaper if you pay cash. Usually it's around a 10 cent difference in price. Is this something that shouldn't be happening?

Last update I received I clicked the next button a little to fast. I realized after I went through the dialogs too quick and I figured no big deal I'd just cancel it when the McAfee dialog came up. It never did... all of the installation

I had never seen the video of the soldier and his son. After a quick search I found it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqPlBy2-abA The whole Google video is great. But this clip / video really got to me. Very touching.

While I agree the OP doesn't seem like a great fit for HN... is there a clear and cut definition of "hackers" that should apply to who can post here?

The real problem is that there are little if any ways to get your account reinstated. Sure, they have to rely on automation... but if people are banned automagically then people need to be able to appeal it and have an actual human being l

Low balling potential hires due to cost of living isn't right and won't win you any hires... but.. It's disturbing to think that you'd pay the same, or close to the same for rent wherever you live.

Can someone explain why they say it will take 2 hours for him to reach his altitude? Right now he's 12.5 miles up after 35:26 minutes. Will he slow down as his altitude increases? I keep hearing them talk about dropping ballast -- is there
