My strategy is to provide selective spoilers. I think the scary/violent parts of movies are easier on children when they are prepared emotionally that everything will be ok. So for Spirited Away I warned them in advance, “It’s got scar

For some use cases I’ve moved to Grist, but the lack of a fully supported mobile app means there are some of my Airtable based I can’t move yet.

I, too, am excited about Pipedream. I think it needs more no-code support for some of the fundamental abstractions needed for scripting, especially ETL: - Branching - Looping For example: Recently, I built an integration from ForwardEmail t

That script returns 53MB for me, while the Protonmail GUI says my inbox uses 418MB. I do not know how much of my inbox is attachments and embedded images though.

I'm curious about this myself. I activated the feature today, and my Indexed DB for mail.protonmail.com now has a table "messages", and each message has an ID, a time, and an "aesGcmCiphertext" object with 2 child o

Your belief that email forwarding ought to be free, on a platform that does not sell user data, seems unrealistic to me. Protonmail doesn’t stop you from migrating, they’re stopping you from *indefinitely using their domain and servers, for

I'm a bit late to this thread, but I wanted to note: If you are using Ubuntu / Debian / Mint, don't install via "sudo apt install micro". It has been compiled wrong and it launches with a -debug flag which leav

I don't agree with most of your points, but I do (at least on initial review) agree with this: > They don't even offer the obvious "2 in 1" dongles where one dongle would contain e.g. two USB-A ports. I would have tho

I’ve been a Protonmail user for about a year. Previous to that I used GMail and Outlook.com. My favorite thing about the new v4 interface is that it makes the settings mobile-friendly. My Filters (eg send all emails from x to Archive) can b

I don’t understand why this is needed when GitHub/Gist/Gitlab include built-in renderers. But if you started letting me render markdown in my OneDrive/Google Drive/Dropbox I’d be interested in that!

I write markdown in VSCode, for now I still publish as *.md files in Github repos and link to it from my blog and Twitter. That seemed the simplest way to maintain ownership of the content itself, but meet readers where they are.
