How big an issue is this practice? I only have superficial knowledge of Actix (currenly reading https://www.zero2prod.com/ which covers Actix) but I don't think the lack of GATs and TiiT was raised.

Any references to this architecture? The only finagle I aware of is http://twitter.github.io/finagle/ but it's a asynchronous RPC framework and it's not clear to me how it applies to Actix web.

I'm seeing a big different when compiling our project, with the M1 Macbook Pro beating the iMac Pro when building our projects (23min vs 38 mins). Is it all CPU though, or is building ARM artefacts less resource intensive than bulding

Yeah, I still remember playing Tekken for the first time at my friends house, which was over 25 years ago. It was truly jaw dropping for the time.

Sony marketed the device to an older generation e.g they had PlayStation demo station in night clubs. Until Sony entered the gaming market, consoles were largely considered a children toy.

I don’t see how that helps apps not in the App Store, as bitcode need to changed to a platform specific type .... unless this was done on the fly on the host platform.

The article mentioned that they have already used Rust successfully in house, so when you consider that Rust is inherently safer than C++, it seems like they picked the right language.

Actix-Web 2.0 was released over the Christmas and with Rust's new async api, the ergonomics of the framework have vastly improved. So not only is it really fast but now much easier to use compared to version 1.

I think it will eat into the C++ market share on mobile, which is a common strategy for larger apps that need to share business logic with native UI.
