Having written some code that did some DKOM in Windows, I'd say PID 4 comes closer.

I thought Briar could provide this functionality without any previous pairing using BLE? I don't know too much about BLE but you should be able to just broadcast data without any pairing. Could be encrypted with a pre-shared secret. If

I don't quote The Bible often but I think we can have some space for a quote here: "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valua

It could also be that a subset of origin servers that the requests being routed to were misconfigured.

A loop that puts you into a deeper sleep that you can be woken up by interrupts from DMA, timers, GPIO etc. would provide the same. I like Rust as much as the next guy but let's not pretend we couldn't do this with C, C++ or assem

So the version of password manager he was using was vulnerable because it was generating low entropy passwords. They also found the seed was from time and knew when he had created it. He got lucky there a little.

ARP poisoning to get packets routed to a machine with a misconfigured default IP sounds cooler to me but that's just me.

I have both rM and rM2. I reverse engineered the rM refresh API and made an open-source framework out of it. This device looks very interesting and I actually wanted to grab one to play with but the next batch ships so far into the future t

Great write up. I hadn't seen the original post, and now I have. Mutacin and ethanol production does sound problematic. It is a product that I would have tried otherwise. It is also kinda hilarious that the guy is related to the most o

Yeah I was like so is it Veo or VisionFX. This landing page feels as haphazardly put together as the Coinbase downtime page last night.

Clearly inspired a lot of people. IIRC, iCloud backups were managed by an internal system named BladeRunner. It also could have been the photo backups. It's been a very long time.

That's quite the coincidence. :) Either way, I appreciate your open source work. ArchiveBox is definitely useful and has become a part of my workflow. Something that can incorporate TrueNAS, ArchiveBox, Plex and RunDeck features in a s

Yeah it is quite surprising in hindsight. I saw a GH issue where they talk about how crawling is not a feature they want to support etc. but it went recursive on users somehow. Your explanation sounds plausible.

Will do, thanks. I found the source of the issue in the meantime. I had set up an ArchiveBox instance and it seems it full on went recursive on an HN link I gave it to test it even though I told it to go only 1 level deep.

I have nothing against PowerShell. I've used it for avoiding detection etc. in the past. Fun tool that surprises and delights in unexpected ways. It is pretty powerful/insane that stuff like this is a part of PowerShell and that&#

This is great synchronicity. I just recently needed this. And I needed it in a Rust project as well, can't get any better. I was trying to do stuff with chrono-english [0] and parse_datetime [1]. I noticed chrono-english doesn't w

Yeah, it is bizarre. Common logic dictates if it is done in Europe, it makes sense and we might as well just do it. Edit: Unfortunate my sarcasm went largely unnoticed.

This is very useful. I needed this at least 10-20 times in the past but didn't know it existed. I no longer need it in a CI context but I could imagine this getting really handy when some weird thing happens during the build stages of

This could be something that agent that infiltrated into companies could use to execute stuff on internal hosts that they have SSH connectivity to but no access. You could get into bastion hosts and then to PROD and leave no log traces.

Perhaps if you have a cost approximation function that's alien to that of a human. Whatever that function is, it must be putting more value to time than a human does so it must have less of it. If this is a machine intelligence with a
