No, the parent comment asked for what the illegal activity was, of which we don't know of any, because nobody has proven any. You're talking about alleged illegal activity, and given the lack of trust in the US government right no

I dunno, I said it's used a lot by bigots, then a bigot shows up and agrees with me (now flagged). If that isn't a sign a term isn't great, I don't know what is?

Anyone who thinks DOGE was anything other than an ideological purge is incapable of critical thinking. Though, in all honestly, most who say it wasn't know it was, and are just lying to buy time till the project is complete.

They were allowed to joke about anything by the state. The state didn't censor them. That's the first amendment. Jimmy Kimmel had the FCC threaten to pull ABC's broadcasting license the day he poured fun at Trump and the righ

This is amazing to hear honestly. Do you have any links to where I can follow along with this conversation? If it happens in the next 5-10 years I might have to make a career change

Agreed. But talking in generalities like "the government should be allowed to mandate a feature" leads to silly arguments like "government can't mandate airbags." We should be having the discussion about what the go

It seems very reasonable to require a feature in an OS, like requiring seatbelts in a car. Of course, it depends on the feature though.

Sometimes I wonder if the US government purposely doesn't allocate a chunk of bandwidth to a medium range digital mesh network protocol specifically to prevent losing centralized control of communications. It was only through a backdoo

All of my bank apps work fine on graphene. I'd switch banks if their app stopped working, not stop using graphene. I stopped using Google wallet, I don't miss it enough to justify using stock android. For other apps, I just put th

This is a silly take. As soon as an authoritarian government takes power they just strip away the protections put in place to prevent abuse. The answer to preventing the "wrong" government from taking power is to have a strong &qu
