I would consider it incredibly unlikely to happen, but based on how much money they're banking, I'd say Apple could probably afford to live without the EU.

Depends. At full load? At Irish power prices? Just the Pi, no peripherals, no NVMe? 5 units? €13/mo. Handy: https://700c.dk/?powercalc My Pi CM4 NAS with a PCIe switch, SATA and USB3 controllers, 6 SATA SSDs, 2 VMs, 2

Because I spent too much time as a kid playing flight simulators, I learned it that way, and I have no interest in relearning. I found the inverted flight controls bafflingly backward when I first encountered them, but I got used to them. N

The Ender 3 V2 is very solid and repeatable, but loud. I spent more money making mine quiet than I did buying it. You can literally get Enders free or for very little in classifieds. Bambu has a very good marketing department.

My bill was €316 bimonthly at €0.31/kWh before I put in panels. Last bill covering the two sunniest months I've ever seen in Western Europe was €100 exactly, of which in excess of €50 was the standing charge that is due regardless

Fuck. This is what I get for posting on 3 hours of sleep. My hallucinated bullshit came out so close to actual that it looked correct enough. 3.2v nominal per cell, 305Ah capacity: .976kWh per each. Call it .98. Not 980Ah, but 0.980 kWh. .9

Off grid is silly unless you actually require it. Massive PV overprovision to ensure there's always something on the table is better than insane battery capacity. A couple of weeks worth of storage is a wild amount for a normal househo

Same, but about ten years after the last modular RAM computers go on the market, you and I are both going to have a Problem. Incidentally, this is why I bought a hot air rework station and a heater. Won't help me if they blow an efuse

I don't find the entire narrative in the article plausible. It smacks of the "everybody clapped" genre. This section feels particularly contrived: > Did you hate me when I was hostage to the cult?" he asked. I'd

I think curves make sense for e.g. those 34-40" 21:9 and 49" 32:9 displays, because otherwise the edges are much further from your peripheral vision, requiring you to change focus significantly to look at different parts of the sc

Apple's done it since 2020. Intel was planning to, but walked it back. It dramatically increases performance, and allows vendors to sell you RAM at 8x the market price, and requires you to replace your entire computer to upgrade it, th
