This resonated really well with me. I know people ask you to try and do the opposite (which I guess won't hurt from time to time), but I also think it's really awarding to do exploration this way. I think it may apply better to ar

I guess it depends, for one-off tasks you'll have to compile and run the Crystal code. I assume you ran the code above with `crystal run`. If you first compile the code with `crystal build --release` and run it, you should see a dramat

Unless you're looking for a neck injury, you should get a laptop stand. It's close to impossible to maintain a good posture while working on a laptop over time.

So you're not allowed to be self-employed by a corporation that you own yourself in the US? I thought this was pretty normal practice for contractors, especially in IT. I own my own company where I do contracting work for clients and t

I believe this is partially due to the lack of incremental compilation, which is on the roadmap [0] for 1.0. The compiler itself builds in ~10 seconds. [1] [0]: https://github.com/crystal-lang/crystal/wiki/Roa

I totally agree, and had to Google for answers for this decision. The rationale, at least what I found, to be that people wouldn't let it completely charge with a different design, but with this one people would leave it charging overn
