Glad to hear it. This is a silly debate. Let them have their Facebook group, their twitter hashtag, their IRC channel, whatever. If you think they're idiots then simply don't click links that take you to their content.

Gmail, yea... I dont see how iPhoto is expected to know about gmail. How about, if it's your wife and she doesn't like exporting photos, just setup Mail to use her gmail account. For file sharing... yea, windows file sharing really sucks. N

Hmm? Click photo. Click 'Email' button. Choose the size you'd like, 'Small (Faster Downloading)'/'Medium'/'Large (Higher Quality)' or 'Actual Size (Full Quality)'. Seems pretty straight forward to me... Did you want to mention your other is

Nothing is perfect (I mean, it's still more or less typical commodity hardware and who knows better than us that there's no such thing as bug free?) but... no, this dude is totally crazy. I've never looked back. Further, I've switched most

I find VMWare performs quite well for that stuff. Still, I don't want to use Windows even in that scenario. So I just use a Mac instead. I think if just Photoshop had a decent counterpart on *nix that'd be enough to get me to switch.

One very nice thing about this that I wasn't aware of before is that following this procedure disables the little green light in the caps lock key... BONUS!

Interesting. I'm not sure why one would assume a 'tweet' isn't copyrightable. Seems to me that the real question is the part about 'fair use'. What kind of control do you have over a tweet, even if you do have the copyright.

The product is for developers, though. I don't think I've met a developer who uses IE6 in the past, oh, 6 years.

I once got up, ready, into the elevator, down to the street, bought a coffee and took a sip, looked around (dark, busy intersection not so busy), swore and then went back to bed. As far as I know I was totally coherent the whole time to eve

Unfortunately I sometimes wake up with no alarm going off, think to myself "hmm, where's the alarm? what time is it?", look at the clock and realize that it's 4 hours later than I intended and the alarm has been turned off. Since I have no

It did take FF/IE only seconds to 'get exploited', but it was more than a few seconds after the start of the contest... In short -- the guy with the Safari exploit went first.

Nah I find it easy to hit control in the bottom left. Almost everything uses command anyway, it's just that in those times when I do need to hit control I always hit function instead :/

Agreed. I can pass on the function key entirely myself. If you want to page down with one hand, try space? Doesn't work everywhere though :/

Indeed I'm well aware of how to remap it, but I'd just prefer it in the correct place. By correct I of course mean the place where my muscle memory has zero work to do to hit it.

So I need 2 hands to forward delete? I know all about this, but it doesn't help. I usually end up using ctrl-d instead -- but guess what -- control is in the wrong place! Arg!

Of course I read the post... The spam line goes like this: If you're tweeting to someone you don't know (unsolicited) about a product/service/etc (advertising), then it's spam. Here's an example: I don't know you, I get a tweet from you tha

I've been waiting for this keyboard. Unfortunately the same nitpicks I have with the bluetooth version remain: * Function key!? Oh how I wish we could banish the function key, or at least move it out of the spot where control belongs. * Con

You're right that `sort{rand}` is a bad idea, but not because it could run forever. `rand` in Ruby just returns a number like 0.9307038377384, used in sorting this will just always sort the same way (since it's always > 0). So Ruby will

I mostly agree, you don't want to spend less than 500K on a house if you live anywhere near a major city. But if you live outwards a bit (say, an hour from Toronto or similar) then 400K gets you a massive 3 story house in a quiet neighborho

Indeed, I thought the same thing (re: your code snippet). Even better, assuming you _really_ need to get the value for a random key out of the hash, might be: class Hash def random self[self.keys.sort{rand}.first]

It isn't even slightly surprising that the MooTools guys would react to Sizzle this way. In short (quoted from the article): > If a developer doesn’t do [what I think he should do], he would probably be yelled at by myself. That pretty
