These disks aren't typically meant for database server usage. They're fine for consumers and even stuff like webservers, but the amount of data discord moves around on the daily means that they are bound to make some disks fail pr

Anecdotally, we herited a ovh dedi infrastructure when signing a new client and tbh its been going swimmingly. I think the Incident made them really up their game.

If you've ever played on The Oldest Anarchy Server In Minecraft, 2b2t.com, then chances are you experienced a login queue hundreds of users long. From my experience, 600 users would make you wait about a full day, while having Minecraf

You could always be incredibly racist. AI devs don't want another " we trained an AI on reddit and it is a Nazi now." Headline. Not that that's practical or going to help your blog in any way, might as well not write any

The single most important point that is keeping visual programming from ever being taken seriously in corporate settings is the fact that there are currently no version control compatible with it (for good reason). You can't collaborat

OK but they are still making small cars. If all cars suddenly got bigger i'd get it, but the fact of the matter is that people are buying bigger trucks and not small cars despite both being available. My pet theory is that among other

Thankfully, lower working-class population means more bargaining power for them, as labour is rarer. But yeah the fact that by 70 years-old most people are considered unfit for work yet the median age of congress is higher than 60 says a lo

My guess is that making obeying a legal (I don't agree that it should have been, but it was) subpoena by a us judge punishable in the EU is setting incredibly bad precedent.

The US aren't at war with Russia. Sure, they're helping an ally in a De facto war against Russia, but currently the us spends more on "defense" than both Russia and China combined, when it is technically at peace. In cas

To expand on that: Comcast would much rather sell a dedicated fiber to a business with capital and guarantees. Selling to the individual consumer doesn't make a lot of sense business-wise, because of the deployment costs and continued

I'm all for using and reusing old hardware as long as it makes sense, but complaining about something being a resource hog on a 9 year old laptop with 8GB of ddr3 is nonsensical.

I get what you're saying, but at the same time that is exactly what the author is trying to do, just that they are doing it in their own way, which just so happens to feel adversarial to the manager. There is no right or wrong here. As
