I think we can hack a reverse js proxy before it gets native DOM access.

Most of the stand alone apps have offline capabilities, though(maps, mail, notes, messages etc). If you planned the trip chance is that you already have all the info available offline. Nevertheless I can see how this app may prove helful b

Many people prefer fresh air. What's so hard to understand? I just had dinner so why would I want to smell sausages now? Less is more!

Actually it seems a friend of his/her was fired not the maintainer. Now, how do we know the facts? I don't think blind support is a good thing. Without full disclosure I hope GNU will just fork the libreboot project and take fur

The bluetooth connection/protocol is a standard, though. I would be happy to be proved wrong but I don't think it's the case. They didn't mention the issue(i.e. `we fixed this well known issue`) in the keynote either and

I think the issue is well known in the industry. Traditional bluetooth/wifi headphones could get away with it because L and R speakers are wired even if there was no wire for the audio source. There is a standard[0] being worked on but

My only issue is that quality is trashed. The L and R airpods get out of sync. There is no solution for that yet on wifi let alone bluetooth. They basically trash quality for little convenience so you end-up paying more for worse quality. I

I'm quite surprised that this issue is not stressed enough. We still don't have(avb is still under development) a solution for stereo/multichannel audio via wifi, let alone bluetooth. I understand the jack is old but why do w

Right... but at least you cut off the CA from the scheme. You depend on ICANN -> TLD anyway.

Does it support ssl for custom domains? AWS has a "certificate manager" service that integrates nicely(i.e provides free certificates, automatic renewall etc) with their CDN.

Hopefully one day we will replace CAs with something decentralized(i.e based on DNSSEC). CAs make sense only if you need an EV certificate.

Well, the very first day when I switched from Tidal HD to Apple music I could sense the difference. The interesting part is that I didn't really expect any difference because at that time I thought Apple is using a lossless codec too(A

Why to bother with various tradeoffs if you can get the best?(i.e lossless). You can make the same argument on video technologies(i.e HDR). The truth is that people usually adapt so "painful" audio or video quality stops being pai

On decent speakers you can definitely hear the difference when you switch from a lossless to a lossy format. The blind tests may be confusing if you switch between the formats repeatedly in a short period of time but if you listen lossless

The whole thing is quite confusing. Is this open source? Is there any demo app that shows how it all works(i.e. the Service Control)? Last time I've checked 'cloud endpoints' was a half baked solution on appengine. I didn&#x

You would think Dropbox doesn't behave like a startup anymore...Proves again that simply passing the responsibilities to a "cloud" provider doesn't fix the security issues.

The burden of the taxes they don't pay winds up on others, who have to make up the difference. What is when you are forced to work for a powerful company that pays you nothing? Extortion, fraud?

I think it would be a win for ordinary citizens(both EU and US) and perhaps each individual state too(unless you consider tax a bad thing) because the taxes help the governments to develop the infrastructure(i.e. schools, logistics etc) thu

Indeed that's the case though I can't say that I agree with them. The main reason is because these 'special' deals stifle competition and I think that's what the EC rule is all about. I guess it's legal in the

When I say mere mortals I mean companies of mere mortals(i.e. like your start-up and mine). Do you find it fair for your company to pay more tax than Apple? How can you compete with them on price?

The fact is that it was illegal. It didn't need a rule to decide its legality. I can only speculate that they didn't expect to be forced to pay all the tax back. Perhaps they expected a kind of warning given the local government w
