Hard to say at this point, but I'm not the least bit optimistic. At the rate B&N is burning through cash, Microsoft simply extended their runway an extra three quarters. The fundamental problems with Nook and B&N still exist, so unt

It's all a short-squeeze. Today's trading has little to do with actual valuation.

Does B&N really have those resources though? At their current burn-rate, Microsoft gave B&N a few quarters of extra runway. It's not clear that the underlying fundamentals have changed all that much though.

That's mostly because their target customer is big enterprise who feeds on buzzwords they can feed to upper management. It's similar to the websites of SAP, Oracle and Intel, which all have the same qualities: - No up-front pricing, you nee

There's over 260 million Gmail users. I understand the outage percent is low but at 2%, that's still 5.2 million people. That's bound to spark some talk on the interwebs.

Absolutely not, for two reasons: 1. AWS is a far bigger growth opportunity for Amazon than their video service, it wouldn't make sense to sacrifice the former in favor of the latter. 2. Even if Amazon did kick them off, it's not like Netfli

Forget him being from Europe, even if he was American it would be tough to get law enforcement to investigate (presumably FBI). Unofficially, the bar is millions of dollars in loss before the Feds will allocate resources to a hacking crime.

I wouldn't worry, if there really is a market for those things you listed somebody else will step up to fill the gap. Especially with enterprise customers who rarely go un-served for very long.

Result quality is only one part of the equation. Features is another, which is where DDG seems to be making a land-grab for. Users seem to be responding to this approach.

Frye's is a brick and mortar retailer of electronics and they seem to be doing pretty well. Granted, they're in the same boat in terms of customer service, but they've at least found a market for themselves.

Instead of a blatant "it's incorrect on a number of facts", I think it would be more constructive to say what those facts are and why they're incorrect so we can have an intelligent discussion.
