It's a loophole, but you're also not getting to see a movie for free. You paid actual money. You could also resize your browser to block ads in a side column, but it's not the same thing.

Hey! This is great, although I imagine difficult to do when it's your business, and harder to do as a hobby. But I'd love to hear about your experience with this. In any case, if I turn on uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger, I still

Spec work. No one likes doing it. I'd much rather have a contract for my time and effort than sell logos like a sidewalk artist and hope you like them and are willing to part with $5.

Hey, we're chatting about it, right? Would a site with $100 logos make it to the front page of a highly trafficked site like this?

I don't think we're seeing a Github decline. Yes they've had some internal strife not all that connected to business, but Google just moved a lot of its OSS there, Microsoft just moved a bunch of stuff there. Git repos take a

What I didn't get from your comment is he died on 9/11, heading back upstairs for more people. Sounds like he still wouldn't count himself a hero, though.

"...some hardworking person loses their savings" No they don't. Loans are insured against default. Interest rates more than cover extremely low default rates and then some.

Same goes for every credit rating agency in the country (world?). Remember all those AAA rated swaps? It is disturbing how the entire economic system is set up to make life harder on those it's hardest on. Poor, in debt, barely making

I agree that mostly it was people, not the machine. That's the basis of my love affair with autonomous cars - remove humans from the equation and watch casualty numbers plummet.

I'm not sufficiently versed to have this opinion probably, but why are we building pipelines all over the place? Isn't oil a dinosaur (heh heh) at this point? I mean, no, obviously the world runs on it, but I expect to in my lifet

Depending on slave labor is so abhorrent to begin with, I don't much care what happens to communities that lean on it.

Making money is the point here. It's not illegal for me to point at a guy selling bootleg DVDs on the streets of NY. But if you pay me to show you where you can buy bootleg DVDs in NY, I'm pretty sure I'd be found to be at le
