Very impressive. This is the first time I've heard some ML generated music that I don't mind listening to. I think if someone figured out a way to get rid of the noise then I would be willing to subscribe to a service that offered

The iPad is close. It's $309 new from Apple without any discounts applied. Certainly it can be had for ~$250 elsewhere.

As someone who has used Linux on the desktop for the last few years, I've never had the first three issues. The last one I believe is the same on macOS which I consider to be a fine desktop OS.

Would the Australian encryption laws impact Fastmail that much? AFAIK their emails were never encrypted at rest to begin with so someone with a warrant could always have gotten in.

I imagine the logic is that people usually keep Gmail open in a tab which might be reloaded once per day. So people aren't likely to switch email providers because of 20 seconds a day. That said, I've found Gmail to be pretty slug

For a while I had first@last.email but I got tired of paying for the last.email domain, so I now use contact@firstlast.com where I also use firstlast.com for my website. Also, I have a few other emails like accounts@firstlast.com (for signi

I've been using the new Flatpak in beta for a month or so. I really like it on Fedora since it means I don't have to enable any 3rd party repos to get DRM working.

This is similar to AWS Workspaces but for mobile. The biggest concern is obviously privacy and security.

But if a cruise line fails surely it won't be long before someone buys their assets (maybe a better managed competitor or new entrant) and they will still need to employ people to run those ships.

So just load the JS locally from a browser extension. I know MEGA (end-to-end encrypted cloud storage) has an extension for that. I'm sure other end-to-end encrypted web apps (ProtonMail, Bitwarden, etc) could do the same. https:/
