There was a vpn provider (which I cannot remember now for the life of me) where if any traffic went over non-VPN it wouldn't work.

Do you think you could shorten this down to less than one line? One line seems wasteful.

Yep, and if you post it to say tumblr, or your blog then people searching for the same problem you have will also run across it. Great way to help others, and keep the "Just Google It!" mantra alive.

Is sublime unstable for you? How do you use it? I use it 8 hours a day professionally (web dev in php/python) or hobby (python/go/whatever) and it works really well.

Noticed ifconfig.me is very patchy in terms of response time, this tool does look nice if it stays fast.

That's actually a really good point, especially with the target audience of HN. What were the results of the previous "where are you from?" ASKHNs? Not doubting US is the top audience of the site.

I've heard the same thing somewhere, where if you need to go to the toilet that's the best time to make a decision.

Yep, this would be so great. I've wished for so long that slides and presentations were synced, the best I've seen are videos like DEFCON where they have a small window for the presenter then slideshow.
