Reminds me of the story Feynman tells about Wheeler, who calls him up one day and tries to convince him that there is only one electron in the entire universe. This single electron is bouncing forward and background through time endlessly,

This is really great. And it's more than just a neat analogy... in a very real sense, the momentum of a particle can be thought of as the fourier transform of the position ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Momentum_space ).

Actually, Lockheed is the company that is designing and building the Orion spacecraft. Which is why this whole thing is slightly confusing... NASA does very little design and construction of their own hardware. At least on paper, our manned

Just to be clear: This announcement kills the entire Constellation program including Orion, the spacecraft meant to replace the Space Shuttle. In other words, after the last few shuttle missions this year, the United States will no longer

I tend to use minified libraries (JQuery, effects libraries, etc), but unminified application-specific code. Been burned too many times having to root out some obscure error on the live server, and not being able to do so because of minific

I used to live by the "revealing module pattern", although I didn't know that's what it was actually called. Currently, I do something along these lines: var MyObject = function() { var _obj = {} var privateVariable = 'foo' va
