I just got my first tablet in the form of a Dell Venue Pro 8 and I absolutely love it but I think a large part of it has to do with the ability to run full apps and the fact its 7in form factor lets me put it in my pocket. Tablets used to r

And '640K is more memory than anyone will ever need.' Business models change and in reality there are no free lunches. Just because they say something in the past doesn't mean it can't and shouldn't change.

I know the reasons, and it's sad that a compromise couldn't be reached. There's almost no one someone could confuse the two services. As someone else mentioned, it seems like Europe has it out for Microsoft just for kicks.

What a disaster of PR naming. The service is great but the constant rebranding is going to confuse customers. I guess ill see an app update on my Lumina soon too.

People who like me got tired of Android's fragmentation and constant "clunky" feeling (I got so sick of flashing roms just to get my battery to survive the day) and don't want to buy into the Apple ecosystem. I've h

The underlying API's don't allow for it (at least that's what Microsoft is saying). Although I don't fully understand what you could have against Windows 8 so much that it would stop you from developing an app. If it&#x2

I use Win8 daily and have no issue using a mouse or my fingers, actually the mouse is far more accurate and faster so I fail to understand your statement.

So because it's written in LISP it gets a free pass in other areas? That seems like a dubious claim.

And latching onto a tragedy to complain about a company and community as a "community manager" yourself is in poor taste.

This article missed so many of it's own points its hard to see why it's being voted up. I've never seen how surges and pricing are vague, it's right in front of you in the application. Home Depot has accidents and deaths

My Dell Venue 8 Pro is pretty fantastic at near that price point and is a full desktop OS. Granted its a tablet and not a full Laptop but its a great piece of hardware and Windows 8 really shines on it.

Sorry for the late reply but you either mis-understood what I wrote or what Adams wrote. He's saying that people often sit in a job waiting to be inspired or suddenly become passionate about it. You seem to be implying that idealism is

Good idea, lets keep attacking the marketing team. It's a PR stunt, can we stop acting like it's anything else?

Elastic Transcoder doesn't support this natively, we ran into this issue so ended up rolling our own solution as the commercial versions were incredibly expensive for a non-profit.

Your profession doesn't define your ethics, you should define your own. Anyone telling you that you have to be ethical because of your profession is trying to coerce you to their way of thinking.
