My concern here is that it seems to signal a lack of respect for the candidate if the company expects them to complete a task with no matching employee time. Interviews are even; both sides clearly have skin in the game; a work-sample test

Wikipedia is a great resource in general, but it fails in places. For example, none of the 3 sources cited for that usage of America agree with that. One points out that America (singular) can mean any of N America, S America, or the USA

Oh. Well, in my defense that was pretty unlikely. Hacker news search shows that it's been mentioned in the title of 475 stories, at least 25 of which hit the front page. Well, we've still got Stack Exchange. Surely you've

The continent is North America. If you want North and South America, Americas is fine, but must be plural. You're being simultaneously pedantic and wrong.

To add to what brudgers said, Trello also came out of Fog Creek (and somewhat more recently).

Until very recently, the vast majority of Fog Creek's devs came through the internship program. Which is restricted to people who are going back to school afterwards (and, with a few exceptions, is only for undergrads).

I don't know what happened here, but presumably they keep fairly detailed request logs. If they were notified of a security vulnerability like this, they would probably sweep logs for suspicious requests. This way they would become a

The default oh-my-zsh theme does something similar - first character in the PS1 is `➜`, in grey if the previous command returned 0, red otherwise. It just checks `$?`, I assume.

The point, I think, is that the original description leaves out the easiest monads, which makes learning about them a lot more difficult. See: List, Maybe, etc.

"Memoization" is the key word there. Apparently the author is expecting a lot of identical messages.

Have you ever used redis MQ at scale? I'm guessing no; the redis server is not your bottleneck. The fact that every server proc has to parse every message puts a hard ceiling on the amount of traffic you can handle. Intelligent routing

There are basically two options and they both suck. Either publish one app and distribute the push notification cert (terrible idea) or each hosted site needs it's own cert and thus an Apple account/published app (pain in the ass)

I'm curious why the case-insensitivity bothered you. Do you often write files that differ only in case? Since all of the shells' tab completion remains case-sensitive, many CLI-centric programmers don't even notice that OS

I don't use it; I just know that this is the reason many of my coworkers are moving away from it. I've heard concerns about it breaking on a future OS upgrade, or just failing to keep up with others in features.

The biggest issue with Sublime is that it's been unchanged for over a year. I think that's the big problem that Atom is solving - Sublime + active development.

The interest rate in question here is probably the long-term rate, which is unlikely to go to 0. That would indicate a wide-spread belief that interest rates will remain at 0 for the foreseeable future, in addition to current interest rate
