Does opera bring in 18 billion dollars a year from advertising? Anti competitive is a much easier sell against Google, since advertising is their core business. I don't see how this has much to do with influence.

Somehow you've managed to miscount the numbers, misrepresent your wrong numbers, and miss the point all at once. The point is that you still have contributed no idea of what portion of startups are starting in SF. If 95% of startups c

SF has 1/4 of the population density of Manhattan, the city it is often compared to, and about 1/6 of the densest city in the world (Manila in the Philippines). I wonder where all those extra people are being put if SF has capped

Surely the fact that a huge portion of startups start in SF could account for the fact that a huge portion of winners came from SF? You're also biased because you're paying more attention to startups in SF - the Bay area doesn&#x

Please keep your beliefs in your world, where your decisions apparently don't have consequences for others. Around here, I like to think that society benefits every time a building that's up to code fails to fall on a passersby,

This kind of stuff is great - make suggestions, but allow it to go through even if you think it's wrong. For the last email validation I worked on, there were only 2 absolute blockers - there must be an @ sign, and the domain must hav

Under the current module system, there is no single polymorphic `to_string` function. You end up with a separate function per type, typically residing in different modules. In haskell you can just say `show a` as long as `a` is of a type t

FWIW, the current preferred web server at JS seems to be https://github.com/mirage/ocaml-cohttp (which supports both Async and Lwt). I wouldn't go so far as to call it a framework, though.

Well, no, since we're talking about the SAT it is pretty US-centric. Unfortunately, Duke has broken broken the link to the paper (the entire subdomain it's on appears to have gotten the redirection treatment), but [here]( http:&#

Much of the point of "first principles" is that there aren't very many of them. If you have any trouble at all remembering them, you can be fairly certain that you have not trimmed enough.

You're significantly devaluing the streamer's contribution. The streamers who make money have spent years cultivating a following. That network effect is hard to value, but I'm pretty sure 0 isn't quite right.
