In particular, if the data doesn't belong to the hosting organization, but their clients, they probably have to consider it highly sensitive.

Surprised it doesn't mention compliance frameworks as a culprit. NIST 800-88 calls for destruction if the data is highly sensitive and the drive is leaving the organization. Wrt risk management, it's not worth deviating from NIST.

Something is off with their product management. Terraform Cloud misses all the use cases, the performance, the features, and a sane pricing structure that competitors like Scalr and Spacelift understand. I gave them two years but had to mov

They used chrome-key, aka green screen. The 2D card would be told to paint an area a solid color, and the Voodoo would overwrite that section.

A similar effect is achieved with a platform and a camera on an arm rapidly rotating around the platform. I've seen it at tech conferences. I think this is it: https://spinpix360.com/

I stopped visiting a restaurant near work that insisted on a QR code menu. It linked to a PDF replica of their old paper menu. Pain in the ass zooming in and out and scrolling around trying to find items.

I lived on a street where we discovered through Nextdoor that we were all suffering from cable modem outages at the same times. It persisted for six months before whatever piece of equipment that serviced our street died for good. Only then

I think I'm mistaken. Tested on a few Ubuntu machines and it didn't work. I must be conflating my experiences between local on MacOS vs remoting to Linux machines.

I spent a decade working in an office park with no restaurants and only over priced cafeterias with low quality food. Everyone brought their lunch and usually ate in their office while on conference calls. My employer was responsible for th

If you were using webauthn as a second factor, I believe the passkey changes implemented by Apple and others means your device bound webauthn keys are now synchronized to their cloud services. That hurts and my enterprise had to halt their

The public never had an opportunity to use Watson. They should have forgotten; it wasn't for them. IBM's marketing department, at least at one time, understood that public recognition drove sales in the boardroom. Stripping the co
