I find this hard to believe. Searching for python copy paste indentation, the first page of results has everything from how to turn it on for various editors to how to turn it OFF for various editors (implying it's built-in to some).

This is exactly what I was thinking, but couldn't phrase it quite as nicely. I never feel the need to reach for pdb when writing Python, but C on microcontroller? I need my gdb.

+1 to the above, it's just a different environment. I haven't used a debugger at my current (mostly Python) job at all, whereas at a previous job in C++, I was using gdb practically every day.

+1 to acknowledging that when it comes to software, "simplicity" does not have one exact quantitative meaning we all agree on -- for now, simplicity is still in the eye of the beholder in my opinion.

My gut feeling is that they had the prices for 1BRs and for 2BRs, and the numbers sounded more impressive with the 2BR. They could've easily displayed both so people could do their own calculations for roommates, etc.

That's how you end up with the factory-campus style places like the iPhone factories in China where the workers basically never leave. On a more serious note, though, some employers do want to build housing near their headquarters (suc

Do the people that write these papers ever release their source code or trained model? I'm curious about both other researchers reproducing as well as being able to download something and play with it.

I feel like generating a lot (100k? You can tweak to get whatever confidence you want) of numbers for every day for the next several (30?) years and running tests like chi-squared (or others, see http://www.cse.wustl.edu/~j

Not exclusive to HN, but I use Vimium for Chrome. Pressing “f” highlights all links and gives them a key combo that clicks the link when I type it.

Not really, but like I said in response to other comment, we’ve had very few repairs. There’s never been more than ~1 week gap between tenants — near university housing is always hot, and the management company only gets paid if the place i
