Hugs my T420. And it's fine with that because it's thinker than a sheet of paper.

Microsoft looks at recent language survey lists, sees Python on top and wants to make money. They are only 'open' if it benefits them, not us.

Why do people always assume everyone develops code in these perfect environments where we have tests, CI/CD, etc??

Skip db and try a static website generator like Hugo or Pelican (python). Do NOT use Wordpress unless you just want to torture yourself.

Why doesn't Mozilla offer a paid version? I use my browser more than any other application on my computer...

Lots of split options out there. I think the trick would be in fabricating something to hold them in the position you want.

Know what you are worth. Never mention a number first. Be prepared to walk out. Also consider other compensation - at this point in my career I'd really rather have an extra week or two of paid vacation vs a higher salary.

Markdown was such a great idea. Now it's fractured so much it's just a pain. Is this vanilla markdown or am I in Github markdown? Or my wiki markdown?

Just curious what was the rough cost of this? I've been looking at some of these split keyboards myself and just curious how the cost compares building one yourself vs buying something off the shelf.

I also bookmarked https://serenade.ai/ after seeing it here on HN. 10 years ago I shattered my hand and collarbone and used Dragon which sort of worked but was not specific to coding. These new tools look really neat.

Great list! If you were ever bored would be nice to see programmable and backlit as options.

A bit dated as well. It's assuming I'm using a physical keyboard. Today I might be using my phone. Might be using voice recognition. It might be my fridge hitting a URL using IoT to order me some more beer.

#5. Amen. My blue collar friend has a saying - "8 and gate". I used to spend lots of time at work trying to get something finished. Or started. Or whatever. But at the end of the day I'm not getting paid for that, or prais

My wife (an extrovert) would love this. Me personally (introvert) would hate this. I can already see myself flipping off co-workers and forgetting the video is on :) What would be cool is if it could read my calendar and I could block out

This. Last interview I bombed because no one would ever remember what they were asking for in the interview test. I said I'd just google it and then dropped "Never memorize something that you can look up." ― Albert Einste

I always have to step over the oil pool by the mailbox when the mailman stops. Would be interesting to know how much they spend just putting oil in these old things.

I looked at TablePlus but the formatter was horrible. DBeaver internal formatter is decent and if I want more I can use an external tool.
