These guys also tried to submit PRs on the Notesnook[0] repository. The PRs are really good but there's no way to talk to the actual developer working behind those PRs. They have a single central account named "gitstart" and

I would NOT call this frugal at all, actually. You are overspending in a lot of places and under spending in others. $281.32 per month for such a simple service is...astonishing. Change Vercel and Intercom with Cloudflare and Chatwoot (self

No. I found Remirror quite a while after Tiptap while searching for a more stable React Node View implementation. The good news, though, is that it's really simple to mix and match Tiptap and Remirror since both of them use Prosemirror

We have been using Tiptap in production for more than a year in Notesnook[0]. Glad to see it finally launching here on HN! We have had quite a long and rough ride in search of a stable rich text editor. We began with Quill.js then migrated

I tried it on my end. Built bfs from source using `make release`: $ hyperfine -w1 "NODE_ENV=production node ./fdir.mjs" "./bin/bfs / home/thecodrr/ -false" Benchmark 1: NODE_E

You are using fdir synchronously. Try this: console.log(await new fdir().onlyCounts().crawl("/home/tavianator/code/android").withPromise());

Would love to see how bfs compares to fdir[0] for directory traversal. Even though fdir is using Node.js underneath, the comparisons I have done with fd & find are pretty close. Of course, bfs would probably be quite a bit faster...but

Even though Evernote is a competitor, it's still sad to see such a giant in the note-taking space go down so badly. Of course, I am still skeptical about this news and whether its actually true since no source has been linked. Aside: I

What do you expect deno to do? Should it have a "repository" of whitelisted domains? Should it do typo checking for you? What is considered "good security defaults" here? Deno doesn't intentionally control where and

I think one question eludes everyone and I have often felt that the whole tech space just kind of skipped past it. What constitutes a master programmer? Once I thought that there's no mastery in programming. That you just learn and kep

I have been slowly moving away from VSCode to Kate and its safe to say that the snappiness of a native text editor is beyond amazing. VSCode is, by no means, slow but native is native. This is really exciting because: 1. There aren't a

I wonder if this can be done faster using the same approach as git-filter-repo or bfg. 68 minutes for something like this is a long time. Otherwise looks really cool.

Not everything needs to be DRY. In a lot of codebases, I see this hell-bent attitude to make everything as DRY as possible often at the cost of creating multiple files when all it'd require is 2 functions. A lot of code smells arise fr

I don't think something as fundamental a developer tool as a Terminal makes sense as a proprietary software. That doesn't mean nobody will use it, obviously, but it does mean that you guys are sacrificing a lot of potential users
