Not sure why you are getting downvoted (other than typo). I thought the same thing, this doesn't seem to be much in terms of actually connecting things. If you want to see a similar technology that actually works and is starting to be

I have been using Glass for almost 3 months now. I have tried out almost all the different apps for it at least once. And even written my own apps. My experience has changed greatly over time. When I first got glass, I felt extremely weird

You clearly haven't used Google Glass. With the exception of the camera, everything is inward focused. Everything you do and see and interact with glass happens with only visibility to you. Nobody else can see what you are seeing. I wo

This is the exact same thing that happened in bitcoin markets early on. When the capitalization of the market is so low and a small number of people control a large amount of the currency/commodity there really isn't much you can

Well if it is tied in most and beats it in some categories, for half the price tag that seems like a clearly superior phone to me.

Nexus 5 handily beats the iPhone in most categories, save perhaps the camera. Not to mention it is half the cost.

I saw David speak at OHS, and this project was more about building something cool and differently than trying to be open source and part of the Free/Libre movement.

Fairly early miner here, I turned off my GPU miners months ago. It's really not worth it unless you have ASICs, but even then it comes down the electricity cost and the increase in difficulty now that ASICs are available. I would only

I was around when this happened. If I recall correctly, Mt. Gox ended up rolling back all the trades by doing a "restore" to a certain date before the sell off happened. toasty didn't get to keep any except for the 600 some h

The 5S is my first cell phone. I love being able to make calls from outside of my house and quickly and easily write "text" messages to my friends. I use to have to wait until I was at work or at home to make a phone call, but now

Most look like Android apps to me, whats not showing here is that most of these have shifted to using left side pull out menus, just like Android. More cross platform design consistency is a good thing in my opinion.

This is the kind of apathy and negativity that means nothing will ever get fixed. America depends on people like you feeling this way to do whatever it pleases while presenting a "democratic" process. You seem to comment a lot abo

Awesome job! This goes above and beyond for a 'hack'. You should have it upload cooking data to Xively so you can keep track of what you cooked over time.

Title is total link bait. Article says 3.5% of Android phones clocks are off by 15s and that in some cases there are time zone edge cases causing it to be off by an hour. This is not what the title conveys.

I can't be sure of this. But my guess other than a USB drive like you mentioned would be, you simply input a Bitcoin address for them to be sent to. This way you could send the Bitcoins to a personal wallet, online hosted wallet, or even st

I have had a Makerbot Thing-O-Matic for almost 2 years. It's a cool toy but it has not been a useful tool for me. The Stratsys uPrint at my hackerspace is my go to if I need to actually make something.

Not sure why you are being downvoted. Google open sourcing Glass could bring on lots of manufacturers in very quickly and also create lots of derivative works. Google would theoretically have its core Glass software running on every device.

Don't listen to these people. If you already have one or multiple decent GPUs you can make money by mining right now. You wont generate many coins (between 0.01 an 0.05 a day) but the price is so high that this is still profitable. Do the c

I saw that comment too. It's incredible what we as the larger tech community have let Apple get away with this decade that we never would have let Microsoft get away with the previous decade.

The iPhone has remained virtually unchanged over the last 5 years. Each model is slightly faster and slightly brighter. Sure you fanboys can make the argument about every feature added, but look at the specs differences. And the look and fe
