Yeah, I'd say a NSFW tag is in order. I was a bit surprised.

Took me a second for my brain to read that as "Canadian Bacteria" instead of "Canadian Bacon".

I think I'll try that. Every time the lag happens I'm surprised by just how slow the app feels.

I really want to look at React Native, but every time I pull up my Facebook app on my iPhone 6, it can take upwards of 30 seconds before the interface is useable. That's on a very fast connection. So to me the FB app is so slow, it mak

Amazing actually. Worked like a charm. Of course these are my own super secret tweaked versions of Windows and OSX developed specifically for the Pi. I'd share with you but I need to clean the code up first. ;) No, I get it, I mixed

Bad on me for mixing my frustrations with the Pi and the laptops together. I suppose just having frustrations with both in just the past few weeks added up, ha! The laptop for him seems to be going okay as a development machine. He's

I love Linux. I use it every day and have since around '98. Recently I decided to get my teen brother, who's going into CS soon, a Linux laptop for development and a Raspberry Pi for a project we're doing together (a "ma

Ah, yep, my bad. I'm evaluating some other software called Fusion (completely non-related) and I guess it was just stuck in my brain. Focus is awesome. Interesting side-effect, it MAY be breaking Google AMP pages for me. I haven't

On my iPhone I use Fusion by Firefox as an app that gives me the option to block ads AND web fonts. Love it.

I looked at assignment #1 and realized just how dumb I am (not a bad thing, just a statement). I am interested in Machine Learning, but I'm going to seek out the intro material first and come back to this (much later).

Yep! Works pretty nice actually, even with an iPhone 6. The classic ViewMaster lever is there too, but it allows you to "click" the screen. It's fun.

My daughter and I bought this and really liked it. Meant to try and build a simple VR demo with it, but we never got around to it. She drifted away from programming and more into art. Maybe she'll come back around again.

Same here. I pay little to no attention to the cover letter, nor do I ever write them myself. His spray and pray method is no worse than the dozens of mismatched, unqualified resumes that get submitted to any job I post anyway.

I've tried several times to figure out how to get Docker working in a situation like mine. And we've been considering GitLab as well. So this is likely a good time to experiment. Doing all the research on how to integrate Docker i

I've often told people that I'm just a good programmer, but a phenomenal Googler. Even in interviews. Being able to search and separate the wheat from the chaff is most definitely a skill. Unless you always want to be reinventing

There are lots of tools and even lots of toolboxes. What do you like to do? What can you find work for? If you know other languages, you can shift easily. It's not like you have to invest years into a new language if you're alrea

Think of how revolutionary this is for people who incessantly take photos of their food and post to Instagram. We need a "food->face" filter stat. If not for the poster, then one I can apply to any of my friends' photos t
