I know that Samsung at least ships with Facebook pre-installed, and I think HTC does as well. By pre-installed I mean impossible to uninstall without rooting and flashing a different ROM.

Exactly. For example, if you believe very strongly in Second Amendment rights, most Democratic candidates are not an option on election day. Additionally, Hillary Clinton was a very polarizing candidate even among registered Democrats.

I remember using Symantec C++ as well. I was a teenager and on a very tight budget at the time. It was easily the best C++ IDE and compiler you could buy at the time for the price. I might have to give D a shot now just due to nostalgia.
