This was a nice article. In the comments Jarek Duda discusses some of the more technical details of the implementation and of his ANS paper that enabled this writeup. One cool thing I noticed is this: Another advantage of ANS is that

I tried this alpha out with a friend, it seems like the multiplayer is completely broken, each time we start a match we get out-of-sync errors and can't play. I wonder if this has to do with trying to play using linux and OS X

A lot of the examples are much more impressive when being rotated with the mouse, they produce some pretty crazy patterns. Take a look at the Dragon Spirograph and Dance for me.

I never realized the scale of energy consumption by streetlights, though when I give it some thought, it's not all that surprising. I wonder if there would be the possibility of using these lights to only illuminate the road and say

To better understand the scale of the detectors, look at this picture of ATLAS: https://www.google.com/maps/views/view/streetview/cern/cern-... . There's a _crane_ reaching up to the beamline w

It'd be great to have some sort of documentation about what this does / is supposed to do. I assume it contains some sort of stabilization code which I would love to take a look at along with other maneuver code.

Besides, using a typewriter is really the only viable way for him to do this. If he used a computer he would have to deal with power, printers etc... If he handwrote it then there would be the issue of legibility, consistency and fatigue. A

I'd like a dev environment to be made in oculus rift. Why simply limit ourselves to games (though very cool and fun)? To me it seems like the oculus allows for an entirely separate reality to be created. Imagine putting on the rift and

The way I've understood the recent leak was that we know the NSA has been concentrating on breaking SSL, 4G and others but that the actual techniques haven't been revealed. Besides, I feel that it is very important to know that ba

It'd be great if botnets would help the tor network and turn some nodes into relays (including exit) to help anonymity and capacity, at least they wouldn't parasite off the network completely.

In the case of Tor, the objective is to obtain a valid circuit relatively quickly so I feel that even exponential backoff would need a low max time to be practical.

As a current CS undergrad, is it worth it to pursue an MS after I finish my BS? I understand it that in many ways it is a highly personal choice yet, I don't want to end up wasting time I could be spending doing something more productive/be
