Of course Obama would have been successful. For one thing, when he required the Europeans to increase their NATO contributions he did it quietly, without publicly insulting them, and got them to commit to increase it over a period of a deca

This is the reality. The Europeans would have been just fine with working with the US against China. The problem is that the “great negotiator” thought that what would be really brilliant would be to first attack your allies, and then ask t

There is a lot of evidence about US backdoors. The invisible dots on every printed page in the world. The Snowden leaks. The fact that the US is publicly trying to get Apple to install backdoors on their phones and threatening to pass laws

Why in the world would you stock it and use up valuable space, and fuel on carrying it around the world? Also, it surely cannot be a good idea to keep massive amounts of acid around for non essential purposes.

I think you don’t understand what a warmer planet actually means. I think you fundamentally don’t understand what temperature means. Temperature is not a primary property. It’s an emergent property which reflects the amount of energy in a s

In the US a resume with a photo will be discarded immediately by most companies. I suspect companies have written policies that say no photo resumes allowed. The simple reason is that a photo just opens up a ton of bias accusations. There i

It would be significantly faster, cheaper and more effective to open additional mask factories in China. And they’d probably have a life beyond the pandemic there as well. Besides, it’s likely considering how few American regions are actual

I don’t see how their employment prospects or healthcare scenario would improve with them falling severely sick and now having preexisting conditions to boot. This is exactly where governments need to step in to prevent stuff like this.

Considering typescript compiles down to JS, and incredibly readable JS at that, the fact that your developers are unable to debug the JS directly may indicate that they are not as amazing at JS as you may believe they are.

The difference being no other president in at least the past 3 decades has publicly tried to influence the Fed. I’m sure every president has done so privately. Doing it publicly is not the same thing. There’s also the fact that no other pre

The Fed lost its independence at least a year ago, since the President has maintained a sustained and public campaign to pressure them. But the real issue here is that people don’t see this as a monetary issue and the fiscal side is depende

Didn’t they also announce a QE program of at least 700Bn? Fed funds rate at 0 and QE worth at least 700Bn resulted in an 8% S&P drop so far. I’m not sure how much more effective the remaining monetary tools can be.
