That's totally fair. Every now and then I do see a "you're not working hard enough" flare-up on here though. But of course, the loudest voices are often minorities. That last bit is a pretty interesting stat, though.

Really doesn't help that we've somehow created a culture where mediocrity is a sin. It's okay to be average. Most of us are.

Honestly, this is one of the many things that makes me feel incredibly lucky that I have the interest in computing that I do. Not only has it led me down a supremely well-timed and lucky career path, but I also have a no-impact hobby that I

This is the least hacker news comment of all time and I love it. Maybe this weird era of SV-type a-social-life-and-sleep-is-for-pussies work mentality is actually starting the begin of its end. Or not. Maybe we're fucked.

I'm not anti-WASM. Actually, I think it's pretty cool. And I have no particular JVM love. I use it exceedingly rarely. It's just that you're being kind of a frustrated, pedantic tool right now.

Thanks for teaching me something totally unrelated on accident today. I was under the impression that all of the post-clamshell iBooks were OSX-only and had to check everymac. Now I'm slightly wiser on a topic that no one gives a shit

You're making me so happy, because the most frustrating thing for me is that, with how tied up in personal and cultural identity and self-worth it all is, few people are willing to admit or recognize this. Economy, at its core, is a ne
