I was about to come on here and post this same thing. The worst part is the font. Almost unreadable using Chrome/Win7 (Their own browser!).

Amazon has a great case for the Fire vs Mini, but saying the Mini has an SD display hurts the credibility of the ad. Honestly, that Samsung vs iPhone 5 ad was much fairer.

Yes, this is so true. I even wrote a blog post about how bad Core Data for iCloud is: ( http://loneyeti.com/posts/17 ). We even see it on Apple's own implementation of features ahem iTunes Match ahem . They are just trying to do too much t

I totally agree with you, and I don't see it changing. Apple has trapped itself into a corner with the Apple ID. Apple puts on regular seminars for local school districts every 6 months or so in my area about how to integrate iPads for K12,

I couldn't have said it better myself. I'd never use this product but I'm sure it will do great. I've been really critical of Apple lately, but I can't find any reason to get upset over this announcement. I find it funny how people are rail

The size of the normal iPad is perfect for me. I don't see me ever using this product. On the other hand, I think some people will like this more or this will fit their needs/price range better. Not a very exciting announcement by Apple but

This is how bad the new app store is: I search for "Carmageddon". Result #1 is an app called "Armageddon". Result #2 is "Carmageddon". In what search algorithm does a direct title hit not make that the first result?

Hey, I'm an avid MBP, iPad, iPhone user and I love them, but I think this is really going to be big for Microsoft. There are many, many people who are completely immersed in a Microsoft world. These people use iOS and Android devices becaus

I hate, hate, HATE gimmicky interview questions. At my job I am asked frequently to be on interview panels for my own department and sometimes other departments. It seems like every manager running the interviews throw out these trick quest

I think it depends on WHAT you're programming at 50. Anyway, my philosophy is that I want to be defined by what I'm doing away from my job/career. It is extremely depressing to me to think that my career will be my driving force through mos

As someone who is colorblind, a lot of my design is based on the logic behind colors rather than looks. Of course, I always let an actual designer approve, tinker with, or redo my work. There are a lot of inaccuracies in this piece but I li

I used zsh for years. Loved it. I just don't do as much command line stuff anymore so vanilla bash works fine for me. I do miss the history stuff mentioned at the end of the article, though.

Obviously the maps app should never have been released. Beta testing showed that it had issues. I give props to Tim Cook, though. Steve Jobs would have never apologized like this. I'm worried about Apple's software development lately (Lion,

The last point is the best. I frequently step away from a project and take a shower or go for a walk to think about what I'm doing. Usually the problem is that I'm over complicating things and the answer will come as an "Ah-ha!" moment. Con

Didn't I read somewhere that Steve Jobs was against mobile versions of websites saying that the iPhone was designed to display the same website that you see on your computer? I know that as a consumer, I get annoyed when a mobile version of

There were. I think they called them "Sponsored" or something. It really annoyed me because if I'd search for something common like "Home Depot" it would give me random pins at places that were definitely not Home Depot but rather sponsored
